Lower Fruity Pebbles - on ADV Bikes
While in South Dakota for the Revzilla Get On ADV event in July 2023, Andy Janik (Heavy Enduro), Seth Haley and I went to find some trails that were a bit spicier than what was on the Revzilla menu... and we found it!
Fruity Pebbles is a rock crawling trail in the Black Hills OHV area. It's popular with the 4x4 and UTV crowd. The entire trail is only 0.7 miles long but it's a handful! This is the lower section. Where this section ends, the really chunky stuff starts. I'll get a second video of that section up sooner than later.
Andy Janik - Yamaha T7
Seth Haley - KTM 890R
Cory Hanson - Yamaha T7
We were all running Shinko 216MX tires. Andy had mousses; Seth and I had tubes.

Aprilia Tuareg Shifter Pivot Install
Переглядів 90721 день тому
If you have spent much time on social media, you've likely seen the posts about broken Aprilia Tuareg shifter pivot bolts. In the event of a bike drop, the OEM shifter bolt can snap, leaving your shift lever dangling, which makes for a very long ride home! Have no fear, a simple solution is here! Our pivot kit will keep your shifter properly attached to your Tuareg! Our upgraded pivot kit inclu...
T7 Radiator Brace
Переглядів 2,1 тис.2 місяці тому
We are the first to admit that this product is not for everyone. This part is designed for the minimalist rider who wants to keep their T7 looking lean and mean! Many riders want to be able to protect their T7 but don't want to use crash bars. Since we launched our durable front fairings, riding without crash bars has been far more viable, but unfortunately, the rad is still vulnerable to crush...
The Straw That Broke The Camel's Back

After 23yrs of near constant back pain stemming from a broken vertebrae in 2001 after being hit by an ATV, I just had two artificial discs implanted in my lumbar spine. The surgery went well but the last several weeks have been some of the most miserable days I’ve ever experienced. With the new titanium implants, my spine’s original length has been restored; I’m 3/4” taller than I was pre-surge...

Our redesigned Gen 2 Gut Guard is here! The Gen 2 Gut Guard is beefier than the original and has several upgrades (but is still the same price)! This new unit is compatible with the 2019-2023 KTM 790 and 890 ADV and the Norden 901. The Gen 2 Gut Guard has the same top-shelf protection as the original and is available with aluminum fuel tank lobe protectors for ridiculous durability. This thing ...
Ducati Dirty Dozen bonus Schofield Pass
Переглядів 3,2 тис.5 місяців тому
Schofield Pass isn't part of the actual Ducati Dirty Dozen ADV ride, but it is on the way as you're traveling between the clump of passes near Mosquito/Tin Cup/Hancock and the main cluster around the Alpine Loop near Telluride. Schofield is 10,707ft, which is well short of the Dirty Dozen's 12,000ft minimum requirement. What it lacks in elevation, it makes up for in chunkiness! This pass was an...
Ducati Dirty Dozen - Episode 3

We wrap up the Ducati Dirty Dozen with a failed attempt at Black Bear Pass. It was closed due to "An unstable rock face." Technically, the pass was open all the way to the summit but closed on the San Miguel County side. There was a locked gate a few hundred meters from the summit on the San Juan County side. We rode to the sign and turned back. We spent the night in Silverton, then rode Engine...

Icy Hill - ADV Recovery
Переглядів 2,2 тис.6 місяців тому
Riding late in the season has some unique challenges. We were having an unusually warm fall/winter so far, and we rode far later in the year as a result. We rode for an hour or so without any drama, then slid down this icy two-track. It wasn't exactly a skating rink, but it was just icy enough to cause us some grief. Luckily, my van was a short distance away, and I had a bunch of rope, carabine...

About 20 minutes after Ducati announced their "Dirt Dozen" ride (12 peaks in Colorado over 12,000ft), my friend Spencer and I already had dates picked to make the trip. Despite the dicey weather, the trip was absolutely amazing! We hit all the required 12 peaks (sadly, except for Black Bear, which was gated and closed due to "unstable ground"). We also rode 4-5 extra credit summits. It was a he...

Installed bolts on both sides. In the video I did not see the washer that mine has stock between the shifter lever/brake and the body. I assume it is not used with your bolt. I tried using it, but when torquing down the bolt it is tight and so the shifter lever does not smoothly return to the neutral position. Without the washer it shifts and brakes easily, but has some play in it. Just wanted to confirm that the washer is not used with your bolt.

Has anyone installed the 1 Finger Clutch kit on a KLR650 with a FMF Power Bomb Header pipe? Using the kit cable guide, I cannot get the nut back on the cable. I can install using the OEM cable guide, but I was told that is not recommended because using the OEM cable guide will have the cable running at a slight angle. It will cause drag and wear the cable prematurely. If you installed the 1 Finger Clutch kit with a FMF Power Bomb, I would appreciate hearing what tips or tricks you used. Thanks.

Thanks for the detailed instruction! Very easy to follow! Having just installed this on my Tuareg I have one concern and that is more related to the Aprilia design than the replacement bolt. You can’t really tighten the bolt enough, at least not to my liking. It was already pretty loose. Tightening makes it difficult, or impossible, for the shifter to return to its normal position. So, while I would shun red thread locker in most situations it’s really needed here or this is likely to come loose eventually. Ugh bad design by Aprilia.
